Updated: Apr 19

Welcome to WIS! What would you like us to know about you?

I have a background in professional football and currently engage in active trading in futures and options. I love discussing and exploring finance as a topic, and I enjoy teaching about financial literacy. I love seeing new places, and traveling is a passion of mine. Bringing the world to the classroom is what excites me with my subject.

I enjoy a wide range of sports, both indoor and outdoor. I am continuously learning and growing, and I am enthusiastic about collaborating with others. I enjoy spending my free time reading books and discovering new music.

Could you tell us a little about your philosophy of education?

In my approach to education, I place a strong emphasis on putting students at the center of their learning journey. I strive to ignite a sense of lifelong curiosity within each student while fostering their holistic development. Through active engagement with my students, I encourage critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. My classroom becomes a supportive community where every individual's needs and interests are valued. My goal as a teacher is to empower students to become independent thinkers and lifelong learners, equipped with the skills and values necessary to succeed in our dynamic world.

People often like to know their teacher’s academic background and professional experiences. What and where have you studied? Where have you worked?

I completed my education from University of Mumbai  and Pune University for my Bachelors and Masters of Commerce and Bachelors and Masters of Computer Applications, respectively. Additionally, I have completed the CICTL & PGCE as additional degrees, and along with it I completed my Bachelors in Education from Mumbai University.

I have worked at two international schools before joining WIS! Podar International School Powai for 3 years, and most recently at Oberoi International school for 3 years.

Before that, I was part time lecturer in multiple colleges adhering to the needs of the students for Accounts, Business Management & Economics. All of my professional experiences thus far have been in Mumbai. With around eight total years of experience in the field of education, I am still learning every single day.

What do you do when you aren't teaching?

Exploring different strategies of trading with tools and indicators and developing my strategies. I am involved in sports (football majorly); indoor sports otherwise.

I look forward to exploring different places in and around the area and region, to find hidden gems to find my peace and learn about new things. When I’m tired, I prefer reading various genres of books.

Why did you choose WIS?

I chose Windhoek International School because it just felt like exploring a new opportunity which would be a fit for me. I heard great things about the school's supportive vibe and how they really care about each student's success from Mr Ethan & Mr Rick. Plus, I love the idea of being part of such a diverse community where everyone brings something unique to the table. It's not just about academics; WIS really focuses on helping students grow as individuals. I'm excited to be part of that kind of environment and make a difference in students' lives.

Is there anything else you’d like us to know about you?
