Farewell and Goodbye

This week we say farewell and goodbye to yet another cohort or WIS students. They have prepared well and their last day at WIS was something to remember. Yesterday, the Grade 12s treated us with some “pranks” that showed us their kindness and caring way of saying goodbye to WIS. In a beautiful Farewell Assembly organised by Ms. Catherine Mousseau and Ms. Carola Beyer (Homeroom Teachers for Grade 11s) and the Grade 11s, we could bid farewell to our Class of 2024 and wish them well for their exams and the next part of their journey through life.

On Friday, we said goodbye to our Grade 10 students. Many of them will join us again in August 2024 to start their IB journey. For now, they have to focus on their IGCSE exams. A special group of young people who will be the last cohort completing the IGCSE exams at WIS.

To you all: WIS wishes you well and all the best for your plans for the future. May WIS take a special place in your hearts in whatever you endeavour to take on in your lives. We are confident that you have been equipped with the skills and attributes that will make you valuable global citizens - wherever you go and whatever you do. We know that you will make WIS proud. We invite you all - Class of 2024 - to join WIS as WIS Alumni and keep contributing to this community in the future.

To say goodbye, I want to dedicate this quote from Antoine de Saint-Exupery to you all to take along into your future journey:

Another visit from WREN Tours

This past week, WIS was also fortunate to welcome WREN Tours again to our campus.

Eleven institutions from the USA, Canada, South Africa and Italy visited WIS to talk about their institutions as well as give some advice and information on studying in the US, Canada and South Africa. We appreciate the opportunity to have these visitors with us at WIS. Being able to speak directly with university admissions representatives and getting first hand information from them is a big step towards university admission. When universities get to know our school and our students, they have a much better understanding of WIS students and what our WIS Principles are. Through these opportunities, we are able to create connections with institutions of higher learning that will eventually enable our students to be admitted to universities and colleges in these countries.

Thank you for taking the extra journey to visit us in Namibia, WREN Tours.
