Ethan Van Drunen joined Windhoek International School as the Educational Director in August of 2021. Ethan has an Ed.M in International Education Policy from Harvard University and came to WIS with previous school leadership experience in India, Myanmar, Serbia, and the USA. Ethan enjoys playing a wide range of music and sports but isn't great at any one of them. He has a background in teaching MYP Individuals and Societies and the DP Theory of Knowledge.
Ethan has a BS in Social Studies Education from Taylor University and Principal Certification through the University of San Francisco and Washington State University.
Ethan's wife, Jamie Vinson, is an education consultant with UNESCO. They enjoy camping across Namibia during school holidays, and chances are you might see them and their three WIS children at Avis Dam or Farm Windhoek on the weekends.
