Teaching at Windhoek International School
Windhoek International School (WIS) is the only IB World School in Namibia. It is proudly inclusive and internationally-minded. The diversity within our student body (at any time we have 40-50 nationalities enrolled in the school) is an essential part of what defines us and, as an authentic international school, we strive to have an equally diverse teaching staff.
Suitably qualified and experienced teachers are recruited locally when possible and it is important to us to have strong roots in the local community. But we also value highly, previous experience of teaching the programmes we offer (or others that may be similar) and experience of living and working internationally.
The school is stable and highly regarded within Namibia. Staff turnover is low by international standards but every year we need to recruit around three to six teachers.
Windhoek is an appealing city with a delightful climate and Namibia is an amazing country.
If you are interested in working at WIS and you have experience of working internationally and of teaching one or more of our programmes, please apply to the Director, Peter MacKenzie, at firstname.lastname@example.org
